Do Allergies Affect Your Sex Life?

A new study reveals that allergies could be getting in the way of romantic activities. 83 percent of people with allergic rhinitis reported that their condition affected sexual activities. Which also affects their quality of life. Allergy sufferers also described more discomfort related to sleep, resulting in exaturated fatigue.

If you can’t breathe, your nose is running, your eyes itch, you’re sneezing, and you feel tired, you are not going to feel very sexy. Also you’re not going to sleep very well. Even kissing can be difficult while suffering from allergies. People may be embarrassed by their symptoms so they might avoid intimate contact.

Apparently the way allergies affect people’s sex lives, has not been tested very closely. It is recommended that people try to find out what they are allergic to, so they can avoid the triggers. There are things people can do to control their environment, such as keeping your cat or dog out of the bedroom. Closing your windows to avoid pollen and weed allergens.

Furthermore there are medications, over-the-counter and prescription that are available to treat allergies. Allergy sufferers whose sex lives have been affected should avoid sedating antihistamines, which could make a person sleepy, or oral decongestants, which can make you feel jittery.
