Despite efforts to educate people and combat transmissions, infections of at least three STDs are on the rise in the U.S. Based on a recent report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis are a growing problem. Even worse, the C.D.C. estimates that their reported numbers only account for less than half of the actual number of infections.
These three diseases are transmitted through vaginal, oral and anal sex. The C.D.C. reminds people that correct and consistent use of condoms is a good way to prevent the transmission of these diseases.
