Take Condylox only as directed by a doctor. This drug is intended for external topical use only. Women who are pregnant, planning on having a baby or who are currently nursing a child should talk to their doctor before using Condylox. It is advised that you refrain from any sexual activity while taking Condylox. Consult with your doctor if you do not see positive results after four weeks of treatment. This medication is flammable; keep away from excess heat and flame.
There are no known drug interactions that can occur when using Condylox. However, you should tell your doctor about all medications and supplements that you are using. You should not apply any other topical solution or cream to the affected area during treatment in order to avoid allergic reactions, or unknown interactions.
It is currently not known exactly how Condylox works to eliminate genital warts. However, it has been shown to be very effective and safe, and it is also approved by the U.S. FDA (Food and Drug Administration).
If you suffer with genital warts, Condylox is a treatment option worth utilizing because it offers a safe, effective, non-intrusive form of topical therapy that can eliminate genital warts in a matter of two-to-four weeks of therapy. A high percentage of patients who took Condylox during two clinical trials saw positive results, and about one-third of patients experienced complete clearing of the wart tissue.
Apply Condylox twice daily for 3 consecutive days, then discontinue for 4 consecutive days. This one-week cycle of treatment may be repeated until there is no visible wart tissue, or for a maximum of four cycles. If there is incomplete response after four treatment cycles, discontinue treatment and consult with your doctor. Treatment should be limited to 10 cm or less of wart tissue and to no more than 0.5 g of the gel per day.
Side effects/adverse reactions for Condylox were predominantly mild or moderate and did not increase during the treatment period. These included inflammation, burning, erosion, pain and itching. Bleeding also occurred for some patients, but to a lesser extent than the other side effects listed above.
